DIANE BROOKS-SAX Diane Brooks-Sax, Senior Paralegal, has worked at the Law Offices of Richard Sax since 1999, providing support in civil litigation actions in federal, appellate, and state courts. Currently, Diane assists the law firm in a variety of legal areas, including personal injury, real estate, Native American law, and criminal law. Diane obtained her paralegal certificate from Sonoma State University in 1999, after majoring in Liberal Arts at Monterey Peninsula College. During her paralegal studies, Diane became the first paralegal to obtain and complete an internship with the Marin County Counsel's Office, assisting law clerks and attorneys in legal research projects and drafting legal memorandums. Diane also interned with the Sonoma County Family Law Facilitator (at that time, the Hon. Louise Fightmaster), and with the Sonoma County TRO Clinic. Before becoming a paralegal, Diane worked in the education, business, and healthcare fields. Diane assisted teachers in the educational field, representing students with special needs. In business, Diane worked in management positions in the hotel/restaurant and retail/merchandising industries. In healthcare, Diane worked in the Advice/Appointment Center at Kaiser Permanente, where she was elected to represent Kaiser workers as a Union Steward. KEVIN FITZPATRICK Kevin has been with the Law Offices of Richard Sax since 2005, focusing almost exclusively on Family Law. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from Empire Law School in Santa Rosa in 2004. During law school, Kevin worked as a certified law clerk for the Sonoma County Department of Child Support Services. Having immigrated to the United States from Great Britain in 1999, Kevin holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Birmingham, England, and a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Hull, also in England. Prior to moving to the United States, he taught Theology and Music in English high schools for seventeen years. |
