Richard Sax began his law
practice in 1978, after graduating from Seattle
University School of Law in 1977. He graduated
from Gonzaga University with a degree in
Political Science in 1975.
While growing up in Washington State, Richard
worked with his father in the family title
business. Richard’s father was saddened when he
saw people lose their homes because they lacked
legal representation. Richard remembers his
father urging him to practice law to help people
deal with the intricacies of the legal
system—the banks and the insurance companies,
and their well-paid legal counsel—to equalize
the playing field for the rest of us.
When Richard established his law practice, he
immediately began taking on the “big city”
attorneys and large law firms that aim to
exhaust their adversaries financially and
emotionally. Because there can be no justice and
truth when the rest of us can’t even get up to
the plate. That’s why Richard Sax became a
lawyer—to equalize the playing field by fighting
for your rights and working tirelessly to bring
you justice.
In three decades of trial practice, Richard has
successfully undertaken a wide variety of legal
cases. Currently, he specializes in civil
litigation, real estate law, divorce and family
law, personal injury/wrongful death, criminal
defense, business law, and professional
malpractice. Richard is licensed to provide full
representation in state, federal, appellate, and
supreme courts.
Richard has been appointed to serve as an
Arbitrator and Settlement Conference Panelist by
the Sonoma County Superior Court. He is a
volunteer member of SCORE, an organization
funded by the Small Business Administration,
which advises small business owners regarding
legal and business issues.
